Our Founder
Our founder Aaron LaPointe has spent most of his life on the water in one way or another. His love for workboats began with his grandfather who spent his life as a mariner first serving in the Navy during WWII then working for Tug companies including Crowley tug and Dunlap towing. Later in Aaron's life, he had the chance to be involved with several foundations geared toward historical preservation. This sparked a lifelong goal of creating one of his own to honor his grandfather and the other men and women who spent their lives on the water to help build and protect our communities.
In 2024 planning began to create the Historic Maritime Foundation. An organization designed to preserve workboats in the Puget Sound and educate a younger generation to take the helm of the maritime industry in the future.
"While we may do things a little different, our goal is to bring this history back to life and share it with whoever takes interest" - Aaron LaPointe
